The Year 2022: A Year of Challenges and Successes

The year 2022 was not just an ordinary year for Talabatey; it was filled with both challenges and significant achievements. Despite fierce competition in the food delivery sector that reached its peak in 2022, Talabatey's successes were truly remarkable, laying a solid foundation for even stronger growth in the future. As the year comes to a close, we proudly highlight some of Talabatey’s key achievements for 2022:

Growth in Orders: Talabatey experienced a 75% year-over-year growth in order volume, reaching over 12,000 successful orders daily. This was accompanied by a 50% increase in overall revenue, totaling $10 million in 2022, with a net profit growth of 60%, reaching $1 million in 2022 alone.

Establishment of Talabatey Technologies: We launched Talabatey Technologies, the tech arm responsible for developing all Talabatey’s systems and applications, totaling 23 systems and applications in 2022.

First Cloud Kitchen in Baghdad: We established the first cloud kitchen in Baghdad, which will soon be operational, marking a significant leap forward in the food delivery industry.

Expansion of Talabatey Market Branches: We introduced new branches of Talabatey Market using a hybrid operating model that combines online and direct sales. Talabatey fully manages the supply and delivery of groceries to meet the current market demands.

Launch of Talabatey NOC: The establishment of Talabatey NOC represents a breakthrough in service monitoring and improvement, allowing us to identify and resolve issues before they impact the end user.

Enhancement of Delivery Fleet: We made substantial technological upgrades to our delivery team and improved driver training and infrastructure.

Geographical Expansion: After covering all provinces, Talabatey expanded into districts and sub-districts, setting up main offices in each province and opening a second main office in Baghdad to support regional operations.

Memorandum of Understanding with Huawei: We signed a MoU with Huawei to leverage Huawei’s cloud services, supporting our expanding systems. Huawei, in turn, will benefit from Talabatey’s extensive logistics network across Iraq.

Electronic Payment Roadmap: We have laid out a comprehensive roadmap to enable electronic payment services through all local and international cards and e-wallets, aiming to be ready in the first half of 2023.

Talabatey looks forward to 2023 with optimism and confidence, having outlined a strategy to boost revenue growth, enhance services, and develop systems and applications that align with this vision.
